the guy that owned "Dukes" really pulled the wool over the customers eyes with that deal. He took advantage of a loyal customer base that helped him get the approvals he needed for his "re-do". Of course he had already made his deal with Ruth's Chris. The rest is history as they say. In the end, it's the customers that give a watering hole its personality...good, or bad. Davis' is fun with a great crowd. Usually very few tourists. The Boatyard has risen to a great status due to easy accessibility, an owner that gets involved in the community, and a lot of the racing crowd goes there. They do, however, get the tourists too.
