I have ... well 4 sets of these, two boats each with transport and storage sets. Here's a phone photo of this fall's transport taking a splash onto the deck. Mine are made of 2x6s. I dont' know how to load up multiple photos so I'll put a crude drawing in the next post. I have a plywood triangle I screw to one leg just to hold the cradle until it's ties down. I tie it down by running a line from a stancion base at an angle, under the cross piece of the cradle, up and over the mast, back down under the cradle back to the stancion base on the opposite side. Repeat this so that it is braced fore and aft and tied down on both cradles. It's an hour to hour and a half over water to get from where the mast is stepped to the boat ramp and 5 or 6 miles by truck to home. This particular set is very low to get the mast as close to the deck as possible to fit under overpasses on the road but I can't get the hatchboards in or out when using them. Once I get it home I raise it up and put it on a higher set of the same design.
