Jon, via cell phone, indicates that while the wind and surge from the initial on-shore rush of the storm was impressive; the problem came on the backside from the surge of water when the wind shifted and the water came-up.
Jon ended-up with the water above the ouside of his house -- with about 4" on the inside. It's receeded and dropped over a foot or so -- he's concerned whether it will rise again as the tide come up and wind is at about 30 knots out of the south.
His boat appears fine. He'd tied it to his floating dock, and the land on his property and across the fairway. The dock broke loose, but it's being held by his boat, which is in-turn being held by those long "spider" lines.
He's has a small generator that he uses to keep the frig going and provide brief periods of light. He expressed his concern for those of us that weren't as fortunate. He wishes his internet were up. ;^)))
