... as far as your rig tune goes, the most simple thing I can suggest in addition to the many published methods for tuning a rig out there is to remember that for every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction (thank you Newton).
For whatever forces you exert on your rig, there must be an opposing force.
It's best to sail tune your rig. When doing this upwind the optimum heal on each tack is 15 degrees.
It is not uncommon to have leeward shrouds slack but it is less likely with 1x19 type rigging wire because of it's stretch factor. Just because your leeward shrouds become slack under normal sailing conditions does not mean your rig is not tuned. All rigs are different.
