Looks like hanging a cable from outside chainplates....
In Response To: Waterline 'side arc' electrodes ()
would do the same thing.
Of course one would have to wonder what would happen to the bolts in the chainplates.
Basically you are building a "shield" of a faraday cage around the hull of the boat, but with just this thin cable going all around, I can't help but wonder how well it would protect the boat.
