I used to us ablative paints -- I switched to a harder bottom because I was having problems cleaning the bottom due to regulatory requirements.

You have to really clean-off a good deal of the old paint first (I had our bottom soda blasted by a pro). I've happy with what we're using now.

I'm not familar with Super Ship Bottom?
