I'd like to have everything working great with no hiccups. In the end I've come to the conclusion that if it works (with personality) I take it. Just having every system on the boat working is my nirvana. I don't like non working installed systems but if I have a couple of 'temperamental but reliable' systems to deal with it's fine.

Cruising boats are complicated and although ours is big I've set it up to be as simple as possible only everything is bigger. I've long ago decided that trying to get everything 'working perfectly' takes the fun out of cruising.
