Yesterday I was talking to a friend/coworker that is also a surveyor. He is a well know coast of Maine guy, and used by many of the brokers/boatyards here in the Penbay area.

He has surveys scheduled for every day of the week this week and next. He works closely with the brokers of course and one of those brokers told him that he (the broker) has written as much business in Jan/Feb as he "normally does in the first 6 months of the year".....sales btw not just new listings.

This is really good news, and whether it is across the board I don't know, or sustained remains to be seen....there are some great values in the boatyards around Maine and elsewhere......

I would buy this sweet 1970 Tartan if I were in the market.. listed @ $24,000 is a pretty nicely kept version...btw I don't have an interest in this boat...was just poking around.
