occurred when I had a friend with me in Nova Scotia. We'd rounded Cape Sable and come into Daniel Head to tie up for the night. We'd scoped out the main harbor and I'd picked out the fishing boat I wanted to tie alongside, but the guide said we were supposed to go into a different part of the harbor. I wasn't very enthused, but figured I ought to at least check it out, so we were headed there when I noticed we'd stopped moving. I asked my friend to move away from the engine controls so I could put us in reverse because we were aground. Instead of moving, she replied, "We can't be aground. We're right in the mouth of the harbor!" My response, "Yes, we are in the mouth of the harbor, and we're also aground. Look over the side." She did, and moved, and we were able to reverse off without difficulty, thank heavens. We tied alongside the fishing boat. Apparently they'd had a bit of shoaling.
