It's kinda like anything on the interweb, everyone is an expert. At our Yacht Club we call it The Timmy Game. (after a know it all who was and expert at everything on the planet, yet still lived with his parents at age 35 
) Just keep talking / posting and you will convince everyone that you are an expert.
The Portuguese told him to take Amazon Guardian offer of rescue and he did. Love to hear how many rudderless boat experts would challenge that request? Maybe they would on the web,
For those who don't know, or have short memories, Jim has sailed extensively and I helped him maintain a web page about his two cruises about Borean, a CS33 to the Caribbean and Bahamas.
