Sometimes I can hardly believe that. We don't lock the doors in our house, here or not. We leave the car keys in the ignition overnight, in the driveway, on the road, same with the boat. I do lock the boat sometimes, but not usually, and less and less. I figure the damage to break in will be more than what they steal. I don't think about the boat being stolen, that seems crazy.

It's a bad habit(the fairy tale) and hard to break it. The biggest problem with living like this is adjusting when you're away from home. My wife and I do well, but our kids have gotten robbed, pick pocketed, mugged, away at school, too many times! There's the a downside to growing up in Maine.
