I usually chalk it up to bad hearing as the old ears have trouble with many films. After finishing it I turned the volume up and watched the ending again. Really high volume helped quite a bit. Re the accent,,,, I've recently come to realize that India (an English speaking country) actually uses the English language much better than Americans do.

Understand your take on the film. I can only add to the mix that it is a big story to tell. Stories about the concept of something bigger than ourselves is always difficult to tell. I think that this did a much better job at it than 'Contact'. Hell, my main reason for cruising was to search for meaning and something bigger than ourselves, after 12 years of cruising all I came to realize that 'everything' is bigger than humans, especially me..
