Was the shaft disconnected from he rudder's underlying framework?

I can't believe that Viewfinder didn't have a post of the pictures of the damage (first, second, third, etc. times) that it could provide.

If one had those, a bunch of speculation would get sorted-out. (Wasn't Viewfinder's owner a videographer/newsman?)
