After a failure of similar nature, I was told..and now practice.. changing the idler and tensioner pulleys at least....
In Response To: I had an idler pulley fail on my old F-150 ()
..every second changeout of the "big" belt. Having them checked thoroughly at 90k miles seems wise to me as well.
