Nice to see that fuel clear.

There's no value in learning the hard way in a seaway that fuel's sludgy, your engine quit, rocks are near, and you have little time to get the sails back up!

Since I have only one fuel tank, on my own boat, it really pays to check that fuel now and then. After about ten years, I sampled our tank bottom for the first time. It was clean. I think I may have posted a photo of our pump I mounted permanently for tank bottom sampling. Now there's no excuse not to check it. In Mexico we checked after each refueling. Didn't have a single problem.
