Enjoy your new boat, Mark! If I had a fast enough boat, I'd go up the channel at Indian Key and spend the night at the Rod & Gun Club dock, wander around Everglades City & have some seafood at the Camellia Street Grill.

But anchoring out at Little Shark, or as Jon suggested off the beaches at Cape Sable, is good too. One of our objectives this year was to anchor off the beaches at Cape Sable for at least one night, but we didn't get the weather. Maybe next year. We have a friend that came back from the Bahamas last week via the Yachtsman Channel & they just dropped the hook a mile & a half out off Little Shark. Said it was a big bouncy during the night, but no bugs, which suited them just fine.
