I enjoyed the video, but am also skeptical of how it would work in wind and waves?

There are some robust shackle type devices that can take a bunch of load.

There are some mooring fields that get a bunch of wind and waves. Years ago in Newport, RI, there was a tropical storm passing by not too far away. I recall in the harbor seein a huge Perinni Navi stretching a mooring line taught in just a moment after catching a mooring.

We went out to a boat that was "tacking" at its mooring. We were heeling to port, then starboard like we sailing up a narrow channel.

That in the video wouldn't doo much in such a wind or seaway.
