2.5 seconds seems to be the high end norm

Rainwise has a beautiful display that says 'updates every 2.5 seconds with a 30 second offset. WHAT? I take that to mean that the reading is a 32.5 seconds delay. You can't listen to the howel of the wind gust and look at the readout seeing the windspeed.

I don't get it. if Tacktick is wireless, real time and uses a solar panel to keep the battery charged why can't home systems do the same thing? I have a used masthead transducer and was thinking of getting a used ST40 on ebay and hard wiring it. All the manufacturers say they don't like a hardwired system because of lightening but I don't care. We deal with lightening all the time. Besides, we only have lightening once a year here in Southern California.

I like the Rainwise display and will email them on they're reported 30 second offset issue. They did say they can factory hard wire it with a 2.5 second delay. perhaps that's with only a 2.5 second delay. I can handle that.
