Sorry about the typo's. I sent that post using

my friends phone. Yes, it's a good thing we decided to cross when we did. The last couple of days have been spent putting the boat to bed for a couple of months and that time would have been used up sitting. We walked down to the waterfront for lunch and the ocean looked pretty ugly. My friend and I were sitting at the bar in Big Game discussing what we should do and not making much progress (plenty of progress with the beer but not much with our plan) when I thought about this board. I told him I would post a question and get some good feed back pretty quickly. It really helped us make up our minds. I've gone up and down the Mexican Coast so many times that it's second nature but only once did I cross the Gulf Stream and that was 25 years ago. It's funny because I told my friend that it couldn't be that much worse then a bad Baja Bash and it would be over in 6 hours. He just shrugged his shoulders. Neither of us feared for the boat or ourselves but we were just lazy after 1100 miles and just didn't want to take any hits. I guess we get that way over time. All and all, it was a great trip with good friends. We had plenty of conch, lobsters and beer along the way and it gave my wife and I some really stress free time. That's hard to beat.
