The tide is still the major travelift in many harbors.

The 20 feet range in Mallaig Harbor Scotland, made easy work of hauling the big fishing boats. There's a huge old railway here as well for larger projects at this shipyard.

Most of the harbors I saw in Scotland were working harbors, scenes out of a past long gone on most of the coast south of my harbor.
