Maine a long way, hand-steered.

The old Mk I ST4000+ wheel drive no longer stays clutched. Nan had said it was half-way engaged two weeks ago and today when I went to the fuel dock, it wasn't at all engaged. I suppose better today than Saturday heading into the Cape Cod Canal.

All the pins are still there, the belt's intact and the lever turns the eccentric roller. But it never goes over center into lock position. Anyone remember how to deal with this?

Can buy just a MK II wheel drive, it and a new brain or the whole package with a new controller head. The Ray reps at shows say something will be missing if I use the old 4000+ head, but don't remember how meaningful. Perhaps only just the new calibration interface. I can mount the wheel drive and use it with the existing control head and add the new brain later.

Mud? Thoughts?
