I repaired both the broken ones in Mexico to get me by but the repairs made the bottoms look like an over cooked taco shell. Unless tiptip go with a heavy grade aluminum you risk them cracking at a stress point like mine dida. If you go with a heavy gauge then what's the point. You just added the weight back.
