They were on the up-wind leg. What amazed me was how cool and collected the Kiwis were.

After almost loosing the boat, they come back to lead start to finish in the second race, building their lead every leg... too bad they called the race when winds hit 24 knots (these AC72s won't be the boats raced in the next cup in New Zealand... they'd never survive Auckland's waters)

Think back to race five when Oracle played their cancel-the-next-race card because they needed to re-group after loosing ... the Kiwis almost loose the boat and come back to kick ass....
