It was a line squall during daylight hours

and was visible well ahead of the wall of wind. This was also one of those storms the CG will cut in on the VHF to warn people about. I wasn't there but I think it's likely they didn't prepare early enough. It was forecast and moved across the area with a strong front.

When I see low dark grey/green clouds, I strike all sail before the wall of wind hits, at least until I know what wind strength I'm dealing with.
