Wow, talk abou a cruiser 'wearing out his welcome'...

UFB, this story from Oriental, NC... What a shame, anyone who's ever stopped in Oriental, and is familiar with the Inland Waterway Provision Company, knows it's one of the nicest, most cruiser-friendly business establishments on the entire East coast...

And, here's a bit more of the backstory:

Where does one even begin, with a story like this? This Moitessier-wannabe has already extended his stay in the US by several months, ICE has been notified, and yet the authorities appear powerless to 'encourage' this clown to move on...

In a town as small and close-knit as Oriental, one simple solution would appear to be for all the local merchants to simply refuse to do business with these people... What are they gonna do, SUE the bar that refuses to serve them?

Clearly, one of these deals where one look at the boat says it all... (grin) The locals should simply band together, give this asshat his 10 gallons of diesel, his "ball of twine", and a free tow out of Beaufort Inlet...

best regards,

Jon
