I had the similar experience that another poster had with my ipad freezing. I talked to one of my tech gurus and friend, and he runs Navionics on his ipad and has never had the same problem. He uses AC, but I think just the webased stuff(same but not as handy).

I've since found that something is loading up the cache on the ipad and it requires a re-set. I'm not positive it's the Bluecharts or the external Wifi antenae(garmin glo) but if I install Navionics, I don't know if the AC addition is on the app(?)

I like the AC addition on the blue charts. I was not an AC user before even though I'm a member for a couple years now. The combination of the info on the charts, onboard, is what I find handy.
