One was one of those little postal jeeps which I put a new engine into trying to get a suitable delivery rig for my then rural carrier spousal unit. She had 35 miles of gravel every day and the jeep kept literally breaking in half. I just couldn't keep it going.
Currently...she just retired...has a 96 Japanese re-import with only 55k miles on it. After buying it we had to replace about six different items from master window switch box to dash parts, coupla items in the four wheel transfer case, new radiator......and other stuff.
I like stuff to work. I was raised with baling wire and chewing gum and won't have it on my stuff. But I suspect that what it takes to keep a heep going.
