Rudy, the second guy hauled into the helicopter sails out of the same club I do. He looks a little water logged but not too much the worse for wear. From what I remember about his recount of the ordeal, the boat was very well prepared and the captain seemed quite knowledgeable. 80 knot winds and 50 - 70 foot waves is not a place I would ever want to be in any boat. It never ceases to amaze me that the SAR teams put themselves into conditions like that and are able to work miracles by getting themselves and the foundering crew to safety.
