I love winter and cold weather, but the media focus on sailboats and icebergs completely elludes me.

() Winter activity for me involves excercise which makes it pleasurable. The idea of hunkering down inside a clammy sailboat cabin surrounded by ice isn't appealing and has none of what makes sailing so pleasurable for me. An igloo makes much more sense.
I've seen much more early ice on our harbor this year. It's good to have my boat in hibernation.
