() Seriously, We have charts of the area we're sailing in. (All in a variety of Chartbooks.)
We also have the ships papers, various pieces of navigation instruments, little flashlights, three whole punches, little stapler, pads, pens, pencils, USB drives, and other hidden (but often lost) delights.
All in about 5" of depth.
Seriously, I think that regardless of how electronically automated our navaigation becomes, I am comforted by the concentrated back-up that's available from a chart drawer. I confess, some may view this a quaint. ;^))))
