I've heard from other cruisers using Navionics Charts in the Bahamas ...

… they would be anchored safely some short distance from shore, and the plotter would show the boat on land. I've not actually seen that on these other boats, so I can't say 100%. BUT, I've heard that from a few folks. I suspect there could be a few reasons for this. Cheers, John
