Love your second image, especially.

Here's a quick iPhone snapshot I grabbed a few summers ago in Stonington CT. This church is just up the street from Dodson's boatyard.

When I snapped the shot I wasn't sure the deep blue sky (pre-sunset lighting) would be as good as in person, and it isn't, but it's still pretty striking. I also didn't notice the streetlamp's shadow on the church until later when I looked at the image on a large computer screen. There was no image editing done, except to re-size for the web.
