Finally after many days spent in freezing temperatures trying to do repair, installation, commissioning, resealing of the water maker 3 times (the last time with 3M 4200 ), we left Little Creek in Norfolk this morning. The weather looked good for a run down to Beaufort outside. The log reads like this:

9:00 AM - depart dock
9:15 AM - autopilot fails
9:25 AM - X-30 course computer determined to be faulty, decide to turn left rather than right and go down ICW.
10:30 AM - nav station E120 display begins a slow fade to black
11:00 AM - compete blackout on display

All this stuff worked perfectly a month ago on the run down the bay from Cardinal. It worked perfectly yesterday.

Ahhh, cruising (or is it cursing?)! Nothing like it....
