Definitely hanging with the flappers open. Flipped it over so the inlet is on the bottom. It now hangs with the flappers closed. Had to rotate the diaphragm and handle 180 so it would line up with the existing port in the cockpit wall. Had to shorten the inlet hose a little - easy job. Lengthening the outlet hose needed a quick trip to Defender - 2' of 1 1/4 hose and a coupling. Had a couple of clamps left over. Couldn't test it though - bilge was still dry from the last pump out. Getting in and out of that cockpit locker is getting harder and harder - perhaps I need a bigger boat, assuming they have bigger lockers???
