Charlie. That worked out really well.

We had a friend who had a 16 foot Boston Whaler which he couldn't use on the Avalon dinghy dock because there was a 14 foot limit. We had another friend who made his living working on boats and fiberglass was his specialty. He cut 2 feet out of the 16 ft Whaler and you couldn't even tell. The only problem is that the boat kept getting towed and impounded. It took a couple of years for all the harbor department guys in Avalon to realize that even thought it looked like a 16 footer that it was legal for the dock. It was pretty funny. A good fiberglass guy can do some really neat things.
