I store my batteries in my garage over the winter and I'm putting them back on the boat today. Each spring I clean up the terminals and cable clamps with some sand paper to get them shiny before hooking everything back up. There is always a bit of corrosion, not much, mostly just dull metal but there is often just a bit of white fuzz and I wonder how much this effects battery performance. Do many of you coat your battery terminal connections to reduce corrosion? Any recommendations for dielectric grease or other products? Will grease just cause more resistance?
