GYRE is becoming a spring/fall regular here in Maine. Created in Rockport from an Ohlsen 41 racer/cruiser, she's reincarnated as an ample daysailer for a typically sized Irish catholic family out for a daysail on Nantucket Sound or Buzzards Bay.

It's all about the cockpit on a daysailer, and GYRE's, is huge.

There's a new addition forward,....drink holders for 12! Not a bad idea! (there may be a few on my boat in the future)

It's fun to see GYRE suit up for her spring voyage from Maine to Cape Cod. In the past she's been crewed by an adventurous youth group out of Mass.

There's a long tradition of that sort of thing, and sailing in this big family. You know the family.
