A geriatric ladder design is underway...
Surprisingly, it's seen a lot of use over the years. Kids and guests have to go up. We go up for some quiet moments with a glass of wine. The dogs love it(good thing they're small). It's a good place to check the weather, watch birds, and it's bug free up there. If your boat is on the dock, you can check that too. 
I'm now currently restoring the old house in the foreground of this photo taken from the widows walk. Christmas waiting for haul out below, a past fall. Last boat to go, as usual.
