It must have been one of the biggest family crewed classes around. I had a similar start as the token kid down the block to be crew on a Lightning. I don't remember what it was I did on the boat that long ago. Sort of a tradition I think, to take kids out racing on sailboats.

But I raced with my older sister on the family Sailfish at a very young age. I still get excited watching boats converge on the starting line and the gun going off even though I haven't raced in some years.
