That Chrysler Mutineer was a very fast boat and a pocket cruiser is not likely to come even close to the lively performance of the Mutineer. Putting questions of balance and trim aside, I suspect the yardstick you're measuring performance by is for a whole different class of boat.

Performance is bound to suffer when you add the displacement and hull volume inherent to "cruiser" accomodations, especially designed into a short waterline. Choose your compromises.
