We see the Oregon Voyager on the river from time to time. We attended a presentation by the president of the Columbia River Pilot's Association a couple of years back. It was a terrific presentation with lots of photos and stories. I think the pilot in your photo may have been there also, I don't recall her name. One photo that really impressed me was a shot across the bridge of a 900 ft cargo ship passing by a place called Bunker Hill. With a downstream current they have to make a 30° turn to not hit the rock cliff. The photo they presented shows the door out to the opposite bridge wing and a rock and fir tree cliff. I cartooned in an outline of the ship in that area. He says the captains really hate that part of the river.
