Easiest way I know of is to set the traveler to one side and temove the tack of the preventer/vang from the mast base, snatch it on the genoa track and pull till everything is tight. Same as you would do to hold the main and boom off to one side in really light air.

If your system is different there has to be an alternative using equipment you have on board.
