We've only chatted a bit so far, but planning to have a real sit-down tonight... yes, truly delightful people, I'm looking forward to it. They spent a bit of money at the show yesterday on solar panels... RUFFIAN and me are probably the only two boats in Newport harbor sporting wind generators hung in the rigging, but they are definitely the only boat in our size range showing an anchor ball signal... Proper Brits, to be sure... (grin)

Spent a great evening last night with our original benefactor here, Herb McCormick... He wanted me to pass on his regards to any of the old crowd still hanging around, he still recalls those days with a great deal of fondness, that was a very special time...

And, for those who haven't yet done so, pick up a copy of his book about the Pardeys... It's a terrific read, highly recommended...
