Hi Mark,
...unless you've got about 1200' of chain... (grin)
When I get home and get caught up a bit, I'll write up a debrief of the trip... Sorry, I don't think there will be a book in the works... (grin)
Pretty challenging trip overall, and I learned a lot... It was a bit tough on the boat, I'm sort of limping back home here at the end. My sails are pretty much shot, I developed a major tear and delamination in my genoa on the trip back across the Gulf of Maine, but fortunately most of the sailing since then has favored using the staysail, or Code 0, anyway... But my furler is also coming apart, so I'm not touching it until I get back to the dock...
Yes, obtaining fuel took a bit of effort, and I was often just buying it whenever I could, 6 gallons at a time... That day I used the bike, I only made 2 runs, as I just needed a bit more to get me down thru the Bras d'Or to St Peters, where there's a nice marina and fuel dock...
It's an amazing place, for certain... Trust me, the pics don't even begin to do it justice...
best regards,
Jon
