I think it's fairly simple--its may nature to overplan things

its probably generational. Two summers ago a shipmate fell ill along the NJ coast. A phone call via cell to the doctor in NY led to a RX being faxed to an Atlantic City, NJ, CVS and a pic-up by us 6 hours latter when we pulled into Farley Marina.
Most lines can be done on line. I think one of the first things to do is to get some kind of mobile hot spot service like a Verizon JetPac.
