We do trade and have "normal" relationships with a number of countries that aren't really democracies, are dictatorships

I think that the first issue i: Are they our "enemies" and does a state of aggression exist between us?

A long time ago, Castro ceased to be a significant enemy for us. Columbia, Venezuela, Mexico, Honduras, etc. export more violence and harm upon us than Cuba has.

China is more of a threat to us than Cuba -- but we deal with them. You just have to co-exist in "jungle", unless you decide to a perpetual predator and you can succeed with that strategy. We can't, won't, and shouldn't do that.

So, distasteful as the World can be, I believe it's time to move-on. There has to be a time to move-on.
