Nothing is automatic for a good navigator.

A good navigator would especially not trust anything automatic. But some automatic devices might save a bad navigator(which I have been).
Paper charts won't save the poor navigator either, I can attest to that. You can't blame your tools, CP's, AP's, charts, for your groundings, they just do what they do, you're the brain.
