We had a battery monitor post awhile back, so this is really a follow up to that. I finally replaced the failed Victron unit for my forward bank with a Nasa Marina Clipper one. Here's a photo of the new panel I made, though the labels aren't on it yet.
I think it illustrates an important point regarding these monitors. They only work if you look at them. One of the main reasons I like the Clipper ones so much are that they show me both the current voltage and amperage all the time without my having to press any buttons.
This is what I see everytime I go up or down the ladder to the cockpit. As a result, I can't help but notice a developing problem sooner rather than later.
