I went by Oahu several years running as we went on westpac... first going out, then coming back.

We both visited Oahu for the first time together last year... yup, I found old stomping grounds from my Navy days, and she found her childhood school. "everything is so small." As a young child, she recalled walking quite a distance to get to the beach... turns out it was just blocks from her elementary school in Honolulu. The library had changed very little... her childhood home was gone, but there were still places around that were quite reminiscent of "the old place."
