We have probably averaged about 2,000 nautical miles a year over the last 16 years with our J/Boat. 30-50% motoring is really NOT unusual. Our generator has significantly more hours on it than our main engine. ;^))).
MOST boats don't sail as well as your Sabre does -- aside from the joy, it's nice to have a boat that is relatively quick, efficient, and easy to sail. Your Sabre is comfortable and well appointed too. Not having to be in "delivery mode" can dramatically increase your sailing percentage.
